The conference will be held at School of Chemical Sciences Auditorium, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. The city of Kottayam in Kerala has a large number of excellent hotels. Kottayam city is famous for lakes, latex and letters. The hotels in Kottayam are relatively inexpensive.

Kottayam, located in the southern part of Kerala is an important commercial centre of India, producing a large chunk of cash crops. A beautiful town situated in the hills, most of India's natural rubber originates from the acres of well-kept plantations of Kottayam. It is known as the land of letters, lakes and latex The town is also home to the Rubber Board, one of the country's Primary Commodities Board. Situated in the 'Backwater' circuit, the populace of Kottayam is marked by the presence of the Syrian Christian community. Well known for its churches, Kottayam sandwiched between serene palm-fringed backwaters on the west and the Western Ghats on the east, provides some of Kerala's finest natural scenes. One of the many important, popular and ideal tourist destinations of Kerala, Kottayam is a must visit Kottayam is an ideal getaway point for Kumarakom, Munnar, Periyar, Thekkady, Elaveezha poonjira, Kayyoor Hills, Pala and Bharanganam.

REACHING KOTTAYAM

FROM KOCHI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Cochin International Airport (COK) is situated at Nedumbassery, about 90 km from Kottayam . Transportation for delegates to the conference venue will be provided from Cochin International Airport by our economic conference taxi. There will be pick-up services from the airport to Kottayam and the timing will be informed to the participants by e-mail just a week before the conference. However, we will arrange transportation for those who arrive before or after 12^th December, 2019 on request.

Therefore all the participants are requested to inform their exact itinerary (this must include the Aircraft number, time of arrival etc), well in advance. On the other hand if there is any confusions arises at the last moment (due to communication gap etc), the participants may avail their own transportation from the airport. Pre-paid taxis are available at the airport. This counter is just near the exit. The approximate charge is US $ 35. The hotel addresses are given in the website.

One or two of our conference volunteers will be standing near the exit of the airport holding cards “ICLCP – 2019”. If you have any difficulty in the airport, please contact the convener by phone (please keep all the contact phone numbers with you from our website). There are many phone booths near the exit of the arrival terminal and you can use these phones after paying a nominal amount.

FROM KOTTAYAM RAILWAY STATION

Kottayam Railway Station is just 1 km from the town centre. There is only one exit and you may see a hall just after the narrow exit. Please also note that our university is about 10 kms away from Kottayam . If you have any confusion with your accommodation, you may directly come to university (in case of any confusion).
